The dynamic duo of Jack McCollough & Lazaro Hernandez who both attended Parsons as I did channeled 80's chic with futuristic touches via their new accessories and shoe collections.

Lots of flash, lots of sequins and more jumpsuits than you've ever seen.  What a fun and funky show this was.  I took a lot of pictures from the front row and backstage for your enjoyment!

P.S. Nicole Ritchie who looked fabulous as usual and Mary-Kate Olsen were front and center supporting the young design duo.  Tres chic.

Chanel

Chanel

Did anyone tune into the Chanel biopic that they recently aired on the "Lifetime" channel?  I certainly did as she is one of my design idols but I must say that I was mildly disappointed as the "Lifetime" story differed from several of the Chanel biographies that I have read thus far.

Although entertaining and interesting, if you want a more accurate account of the rise and fall and then the comeback of Chanel in her late seventies, I suggest you pick up the following excellent biographies on Chanel, her life and her work.

"Chanel a Woman of Her Own" by Axel Madsen

"Chanel the Couturiere at Work" bu Amy de la Haye & Shelly Tobin

"Chanel Key Collections" by Melissa Richards
